Bind an activation to an Ethernet MAC ID

Use the following procedure to manually bind an activation to an Ethernet MAC ID.

To bind an activation to an Ethernet MAC ID:

1. On the FactoryTalk Activation Manager page, click Manage Activations.
2. Click Get New Activations.
3. Enter the serial number and product key for the product that you want to activate and click Validate Activation.
4. (optional) For each product in the Validate Activation table, the Product Version column displays the earliest version of the product available. Use this default value or select a different version.
5. If you need to download more than one copy of the activation, edit the value in the # to Download cell.
6. Click in the Binding field and enter the 12-character MAC ID as one contiguous string. Do not include spaces or colon (:) separators. For example: 0123456789AB.
7. Click Download Activation.
8. After the activations have downloaded, click Print to save a copy of the activation information for your records.
